The word “elleair” comes from the French and means “spirit of the wind.” No wonder then, elleair Maui Golf Course is constantly being improved with new, enhanced features intended to provide a more golfer-friendly experience. Situated in sunny Kihei on the South Shore of Maui (conveniently located only 20 minutes away from Kahului International Airport) the elleair Maui golf course has undergone a bit of a transformation of late. In an effort to make the course more accessible and inviting to visitors, this popular 18-hole course now features widened fairways and greens, new hybrid Bermuda grass, and updated silica sand bunkers, as well as updated facilities and amenities.

This beautifully maintained course was designed by course architect Bill Newis to reward players with a firm grasp of the game’s fundamentals while presenting a challenge for golfers of all skill levels, those just starting out or with many years of experience on the golf course. Signature holes at elleair include the scenic 3rd, a short par-3 which offers a splendid view of majestic Haleakala in the distance, several par-4s including the 6th, with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean, the mountain-view 11th, and the 14th where two of elleair’s gorgeous water features come into play.
