Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, this beautifully maintained Kapalua golf course has received numerous accolades for a visually appealing layout that makes superb use of the surrounding area’s natural features including nearby plantation-style pineapple fields. Every January, the course plays host to the PGA Tour’s season opener, the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Championship featuring an elite field of the previous year’s Tour winners. This sprawling, 7,411-yard course features several noteworthy holes – “Cape,” the Par-5, 5th hole, with a lush green situated high upon a peninsula overlooking the canyon below, the 17th, or “Sunset,” an unusually long Par-4 with a stunning view of the surrounding bay, and the longest hole on the PGA Tour, “Home,” the 18th hole, a challenging, 663-yard Par-5 that requires a strong finish.

Kapalua Resort is home to Kapalua Golf Academy, with the state’s largest training staff, over 30 PGA Professionals on hand to help you with your game! The Academy offers half-day, 2 and 3-day classes, as well as private lessons. With state-of-the-art facilities and a 23-acre practice area that includes a full 18-hole putting course, practice bunkers, and expansive grass teeing area, Kapalua Golf Academy has everything you need to take your game to the next level!
