Designed by William Bell, the Ocean Course at the Big Island’s Kona Country Club is a par-72, 18-hole championship course that’s as challenging as it is visually distinctive! One of two courses at Kona Country Club, the Ocean Course is suitable for players of all skill levels and is open to the public.

From every hole you’ll enjoy breathtaking ocean views of Keauhou Bay. Facing the interior, you’ll see majestic Hualalai Mountain in the distance. The course itself is innovatively designed to make excellent use of the natural surroundings – black lava rock formations and, of course, the crystal blue waters of the Pacific! Signature holes include the 3rd and 12th holes. The par-4, 13th hole deserves special mention – watch out for the occasional geyser-like spray of ocean mist from the lave tube blow hole 100 yards to the left of the tee (see the amazing pic above)!

Kona Country Club boasts excellent facilities (recognized by ESPN and Zagat as being among the nation’s best) that include a locker room, putting and chipping greens, a driving range, and a fully-stocked pro shop.
