The Hans Hedemann Surfing School is the premiere surfing school in Hawaii. A team of Lifeguard and CPR trained instructors & safety guides dedicated to an enriched Hawaiian Surfing experience, provide a great adventure for the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Surfer. Offering Lessons in Waikiki (South Shore) and the world famous North Shore.

The 2-hour surf lesson starts with a land lesson 20 minutes: Learn proper paddling technique, turning the surfboard, maneuvering over waves and positioning to stand up and ride your first wave. You will also learn proper water safety and etiquette. In the water for 1.5 hours learning to stand and ride waves.

Lesson times are 9am, 12pm, 3pm. We provide complimentary hotel transportation to and from your Waikiki hotel. Surf locales include 6 Locations on Oahu: New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Park Shore Waikiki, Outrigger Reef on The Beach, Sheraton Waikiki, Kahala Resort, Turtle Bay Resort (North Shore).

All of the equipment necessary for the lesson is included: surfboard, rash guard lycras, and instruction. Custom courses can be constructed to fit individual needs. Surf lessons with hotel packages are also available for those who want to live the lifestyle of a “Hawaiian surfer.” Accommodations at the New Otani Beach Hotel, Diamond Head Beach Hotel, and the Park Shore Hotel Waikiki are available. (Locations are dependent on season)

Customized surf tours are also available for beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers. Customized tours along the North Shore and the South Shore with experienced surf instructors will give surfers the chance to surf well known spots such as: Ehukai Beach Park, Pipeline, Ali’I Beach Park, Kewalos, Ala Moana Bowls, and Publics. Transportation, instruction, and equipment are all included.

Hans Hedemann has also brought in a group of professional surfers to the school. Well known names such as Johnny “Boy” Gomes and Kainoa McGee are available for surfing instruction. With years of experience, these professional surf instructors can customize a surf lesson that will be appropriate for the student.
