Big Island Grand Circle Island Tour

First up, you’ll follow the south Kona coast, where you’ll have a chance to view Kealakekua Bay (where European explorers first came into contact with the Hawaiian people) as well as the famous black sand beaches of the Big Island!

You’ll visit a Kona coffee plantation where you’ll sample a few of the local brews, then it’s off to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (the price of admission’s included) where you’ll get to see Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes! The view from the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory is something else!

After the barren, volcanic landscape of Kilauea, a slight change of scenery is in order – you’ll stop off at a local orchid and anthurium nursery where you’ll discover just why the Big Island is also known as the Orchid Isle! Your tour guides will take you past Parker Ranch, one of the largest cattle ranches in the States and home of the original Hawaiian cowboys, the paniolos!

Finally, your journey wraps up with a tour of the Hamakua coast and the many gorgeous, cascading waterfalls (including Akaka Falls pictured above) found on the northern side of the island.
