Island Breeze Luau - King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel Admission
The moment you step off the plane and set foot in the Hawaiian Islands, right when you feel that warm, balmy island breeze, now THAT is one heck of a great feeling.
That’s paradise, and that’s exactly the sort of experience that’s in store for you with the Island Breeze Luau at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii!
First off, you’ll be greeted with a warm, “Aloha!,” and a shell lei to wear throughout the evening. With an ice-cold Mai Tai in hand, stroll around the scenic grounds and take part in the various demonstrations of traditional Hawaiian arts and crafts on display. You can even chat with some of the performers before the night’s show!
Before you know it, it’s time for the uncovering of the imu, or underground oven, following the arrival of the Royal Court!
(And, boy, do they know how to make an entrance!)
The Royal Court arrives aboard a traditional outrigger canoe with plenty of fanfare - chanting and the blowing of the conch shell! Follow the procession as the court makes its way to the imu where the main course of the evening has been roasting all day long...
Truly a "Royal Hawaiian Experience," the all-you-can-eat Hawaiian luau features twenty-two traditional island-style dishes made with the finest local ingredients and fresh, Big Island produce. Try local favorites including Lomi Lomi Salmon, Lau Lau, Poke, and, of course, Kalua Pig! There’s even an open bar!
After the meal is over, it’s time for the evening’s festivities to begin! Join the talented, energetic cast of Island Breeze dancers and musicians beneath the stars as they take you on a magical, musical journey of discovery showcasing the island nations of Polynesia - Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti, Fiji, and Maori New Zealand! You’ll witness the graceful beauty of Hawaii’s lovely hula dancers, the sheer ferocity of the Fijian warriors and their awe-inspiring war chants, and the thrilling, death-defying fire knife dancers of Samoa!
Internationally recognized, the core cast of performers has been together for more than 20 years now. They’ve traveled the world, ambassadors of the spirit of aloha, with trips to the South Pacific, Asia, Europe, and North America!
No wonder the Island Breeze Luau has been rated the best luau on the Big Island in numerous guidebooks and by kama’aina (locals) and visitors alike! Don’t miss out on this amazing experience!
