Hula Dancing - a traditional Hawaii activity
Activities

Maui Luaus

A luau in ancient Hawaii meant an abundance of food prepared to honor powerful chiefs, royalty, foreign dignitaries, weddings, and birthdays. Guests were greeted with a traditional lei of kukui nuts or colorful flowers. Ancient Hawaiians prepared food for days for a three day luau. Today in Hawaii a luau is the main tourist attraction. Join us for a Hawaii tour with a luau as you celebrate your visit to the island of Maui. Of course, some food preparations have been modernized, but the traditional roast pig, poke, haupia, opihi, lomi lomi salmon, and poi are still served. Sit back and relax as you dine on Hawaii’s delicacies as the sunsets, and local Maui entertainers dazzle you with their traditional music, song, dance, and hula dancers. Buzz Hawaii knows that your vacation to Hawaii would not be complete without attending at least one luau. Every luau is different, so add several luaus to your Hawaii vacation package through Buzz Hawaii and save with our discounted prices.

Ancient Hawaiian men and women were prohibited to sit together at mealtime. In 1819 King Kamehameha II ceased this Hawaiian taboo. A celebration feast was held, with men and women in attendance, as a symbolic act that started the first luau. A luau is the true experience of “Aloha” and the heart of Hawaii. A luau is enjoyed by all those attending. What a great family experience as you sit together dining on Hawaiian delicacies, enjoying the entertainment, and the stunning sunset. Don’t miss out on a true Hawaiian tradition with a Luau in Maui. Don’t know which luau to book? Let Buzz Hawaii help you decide. There are several good Luaus in Maui making it hard to choose just one. Buzz Hawaii will help you save money with our great discounted prices.

Melissa, Thank you so much for faxing my luau tickets. If I did not have the tickets, the Sheraton reservation desk representative said they would not let me in - even though my name was on the list under your company! There are three people in my party that would have been very disappointed, so thank you again. I will highly recommend your services to my friends when coming to Hawaii. Mahalo! M. Cox

We too went to this luau. We searched and searched for a luau that wasn't in Lahaina as we were on Pride of America and wanted to find something closer to our port of kahului. The food was excellent, our daughter had a fabulous time. We were front row and the show was really entertaining. If we are to back to Maui, we would definitely go back for this luau again.
