Hawaii Flower Lei Greeting Honolulu Airport
The Hawaiian word for garland or wreath is lei. Many years ago the Polynesian culture introduced the custom of giving a lei to show a sign of affection, or to honor or decorate the person receiving the gift. Leis were also given as a greeting or given at a farewell. Today the Hawaiian tradition is still practiced to show appreciation, love, friendship, congratulation or for recognition. Buzz Hawaii will help you keep this tradition to show your friends and family how much you care. We can personalize any Oahu Airport Lei Greeting.
I just wanted to thank you for making the changes for us due to a plane being late. I also wanted to mention that my daughter was very pleased with the flowers she received, and was especially impressed with the gentleman that met her at the plane. We will be sure to use your services the next time someone is traveling to Hawaii. Thanks again, -J Fischer
Ships and boats were the only travel means to reach Hawaii in the early 1900’s. When malihini (guests) would arrive to the Hawaiian Islands, lei vendors lined the pier at Aloha Tower to greet them with leis. When the visitor left Hawaii they would throw their lei in the sea as their ship passed Diamond Head bringing them hope that they would return to the Hawaiian Islands some day. You may not arrive on a ship, but the Hawaiian tradition of giving a traditional flower lei is still a delightful way to greet our guests. What a great way to start your Hawaiian vacation.
Our leis are made with Plumerias, Dendrobium, Orchids, Carnations, tuberose or combination of these flowers.
If ordering within 2 days of arrival there is a $15 charge per party (not per person). Only "Standard" Leis are available when ordering within 2 days of arrival.
*Please Note: If this is a surprise greeting, the recipient to look for a sign with their name on it. There will be no refunds for greetings that are missed due to uninformed recipients!
Aloha! I just wanted to let you know that my sister and brother-in-law were very pleased and excited about the lei greeting they received upon their arrival in Honolulu. They commented that the gentleman meeting them was waiting for them at their arrival gate holding a sign with their names. They both said that he was very polite and kind, and even assisted them to baggage claim. Mahalo for a great job. I will share the experience with friends and family who plan to visit your lovely islands. -S. Blanks
