Your friendly guide will meet you at Kailua Sailboards and Kayak ready to help you to learn paddling instructions and the logistics of Kayaking. You will begin and end the Kayak in Oahu tour at Kailua Beach Park. Get ready for a Kayak in Oahu adventure that you will not forget.
Oahu Kayaking guides will help you launch your stable sit-on-top kayaks and will direct you towards Popo’ia Island. Pop’ia is an island that is a seabird sanctuary and protected. Exploring the island of Pop’ia you will most probably come in contact with the Green Sea Turtle or also known as “Hono.” This Hawaiian sea turtle passes through the beachside in search for their natural feeding location for nourishment. The 20-25 minute eco-hike with a tour guide in the bird sanctuary will be an educational and awesome part of the Kailua Beach Adventures Tour Excursion. The white sandy Kailua Beach has interesting ecology that you can discover with an eco-hike that takes you around the bird sanctuary. Your Kayak in Oahu informed guide will point out species of ocean wildlife. You most likely will see Rainbow Runners, Rock Crabs, and a vast array of common marine life that live in and around the hidden tide-pools. You may also have the good fortune of watching a Wedge-tailed new hatchling use its beak to break through its shell.
Get ready for an education as the guide will teach you about Hawaiian ecology, history, and volcanoes. Lunch is freshly prepared and served before returning. Take the time at this point to capture the moment and create lasting memories with your camera. You may also take the time to walk on the beach before leaving. After enjoying lunch, another two hours of free time at Kailua Beach is offered and Kailua Beach Adventures will provide snorkeling gear and boogie boards. Waikiki Roundtrip Transportation:
Roundtrip transportation from Waikiki area hotels is available for an additional fee for the 9:15 am tour only. If you book your tour with transportation, the exact pick-up time and location depends on where you are staying and will be emailed with your confirmation.

Minimum age of 5 years for private group tours.
Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Participants under age 17 must ride in a double kayak with a parent or guardian.
Guests will need to transport their kayak to/from the beach via cart (5-10 minute walk).
All guests must be able to swim at least 15 yards and be in reasonable physcal condition. A U.S. Coast Guard Approved Type III PFD must be worn but is no substitute for the ability to swim.
Everyone in the party must be able to swim or you will not be able to go on the tour and will not receive a refund within the cancellation policy.
Guests with disabilities should contact the Kailua Beach Adventures Manager at least 24 hours prior to tour date for accommodations.
Activities are offered rain or shine. If Kailua Beach Adventures decides weather conditions provide a concern for safety they reserve the right to cancel, delay, alter, refund or reschedule a tour. They will usually still operate up to 22 mph trade winds or from non trade winds sustained winds less than 15 mph and gusts under 22 mph. The exterior reef protects Kailua Bay in nearly all ocean conditions. Rentals & Self-Guided kayak tours to the Mokulua Islands will be restricted when there is a High Surf Advisory that requires it.
