Paradise Cove Luau
Welcome to Paradise!
For more than 20 years now, the Paradise Cove Luau has enjoyed a sterling reputation among locals and visitors alike as one of the finest and most respected luaus on Oahu! Spread out over 12 gorgeous, oceanfront acres at Ko Olina on the leeward coast of Oahu, the Paradise Cove Luau offers guests a chance to get away from it all and enjoy a magical evening full of good food, good entertainment, and good fun!
Once you arrive at Paradise Cove you’ll be greeted by their friendly staff with a warm, “Aloha!” Stroll around the gorgeous grounds of the Hawaiian Village with your complimentary Mai Tai in hand, accompanied by the sweet sounds of live Hawaiian music. There’s plenty to see and do before the feast begins!
Learn about traditional Hawaiian arts and crafts. Watch as Paradise Cove’s talented artisans demonstrate skills that have been passed down over many centuries. Make your very own flower lei to wear to the luau or get a temporary Polynesian tattoo!
That’s not all! Take part in traditional Hawaiian games. Deceptively simple but tough to master, they’re loads of fun for everyone! Try your hand at spear throwing, or the ancient Hawaiian sport of ‘ulu maika which involves rolling a stone disk between stakes in the ground, or moa pahe’e which is similar but utilizes a moa, or wooden dart!
Participate in a traditional hukilau, pulling giant fishing nets from the ocean as a group. Shop for souvenirs to bring home at the Cove Marketplace, or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery with your loved ones!
Sunset signals the beginning of the feast. Follow the Royal Court as they make their way to the site of the imu, or underground oven, for the unearthing ceremony. Afterwards, it’s time to grind! Enjoy traditional Hawaiian fare – poi, lomi lomi salmon, and kalua pig - along with a wide assortment of local favorites including teriyaki chicken and fresh island fish drizzled with a macadamia nut crème sauce!
After dinner, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! Paradise Cove’s talented cast of musicians, singers, and dancers have put together a fun-filled evening of family-friendly entertainment with performances that include hula, both modern and traditional, as well as fire knife dancing (pictured above).
It’s no wonder the Paradise Cove Luau has been earning rave reviews all these years. Offering the very best in food, entertainment, and fun, the Paradise Cove Luau is something you won’t want to miss!
