Royal Kona Luau - Lava - Legends and Legacies General Seating

The Royal Kona Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii has teamed up with award-winning Tihati Productions to bring you “Lava – Legends & Legacies,” an unforgettable night of ono (delicious) food and pulse-pounding live entertainment! Watch as the talented cast of singers, drummers, musicians, and dancers take you on an incredible journey through the South Pacific islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, Rarotonga, New Zealand, and Samoa, recreating the timeless tale of a commoner named Holomoana, his voyages and adventures, and his love for the beautiful Kalua, a Hawaiian Princess.

Feast your eyes on the gorgeous oceanfront scenery at the Royal Kona Resort’s very own Coconut Grove and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Hawaiian sunset, then prepare your taste buds for a true feast featuring authentic island fare. You’ll enjoy traditional Hawaiian food and local favorites alike - kalua pig straight from the imu, fresh island fish, lomi lomi salmon, poi, and lots more - at this All-You-Can-Eat affair! Plus, the open bar means plenty of beer, wine, and cocktails (Mai Tais!) to go around, with soft drinks and fruit punch for the kids.

As if that wasn’t enough, the evening includes a high-energy, crowd-pleasing display of traditional Tahitian dance, commonly called tāmūrē. Later, audience members are invited to participate and do a little hip-shaking of their own before the night’s thrilling finale - a spell-binding Samoan fire knife dance that must be seen to be believed!
