South Shore Sea Kayak Tour South Shore Kayak

Outfitters Kauai invites you on an 8-mile tour by sea of the south shore of Kauai! See a side of the Garden Isle few get to enjoy as you kayak from Poipu to Port Allen, making stops along the way at secluded, seldom-seen beaches inaccessible by public roads!
The South Shore Sea Kayak Tour is moderately strenuous and not for beginners or for those who get seasick, as the water can get a little rough! That having been said, it is an awful lot of fun, and just the thing for those who aren’t content to lounge around the pool all day and want to stay active on their Hawaiian vacations!
Soon after setting out from the harbor at Kukui’ula, you’ll come across the famous Spouting Horn, a saltwater blowhole that shoots powerful jets of water up to 50 feet into the air with each wave! Your first stop is Lawa’i Kai, a beautiful and secluded white sand beach where you’ll enjoy a blueberry muffin and a hot cup of Kauai coffee for breakfast. Along the way, you may encounter native marine life like dolphins, sea turtles, and maybe even some humpback whales depending on the season!
After paddling for another 7 miles, you’ll land at Wahi’awa, a protected bay stretching a ¼ mile where you can snorkel, bodysurf, or just relax after your early morning workout! For lunch, choose between either a Turkey Watercress Wrap or a Mediterranean Veggie Wrap with pasta salad and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert!
Another short trip by kayak, and before you know it you’ll be headed back on one of the Outfitters Kauai vans.
The South Shore Sea Kayak Tour is only offered during the winter, but if you’re on island in the summer months, then check out the Na Pali Coast Sea Kayak Tour (careful though, it’s definitely for advanced kayakers only!)
